This website gives us the opportunity to introduce you to Crown Wood School. We are very proud of our school, and work hard to ensure that it is a happy and busy place of learning. We all see education as a partnership between home and school and welcome opportunities to meet with you to discuss any problems or provide information that you might require. It is essential that your children are aware of this partnership and know that parents and teachers are working together to help them achieve their full potential. An excellent example of this can be seen in our Homework Policy and the part that parents play in making it efficient.

There are many opportunities to become fully involved in the life of the school. There is a thriving School Association which does a magnificent job in enhancing our resources and providing extra equipment. We are always looking for people to help within the school, either by supporting a particular activity like reading or cookery, or by bringing an interest or skill into school.

As parents, your first point of contact should always be with the teacher or Phase Leader. However, it may be that you wish to discuss the matter with one of the senior management team (myself or the deputy). We always try to be as accessible as possible and a note, telephone call, email or quick word with the secretary is all that is needed to make an appointment
