Year 6 PGL residential trip
Year 6 PGL residential trip updates
We are on the coach on the M4 between Newbury and Reading. Current estimated time back at school is 3pm. However there has been an accident ahead so we are currently moving slowly. We will update again if anything changes.
Friday lunch time:
The children had a great time doing their activities yesterday and the campfire in the evening was great fun. This morning all the groups have had aeroball and zip wire. We have just had our lunch and will soon be loading up the coach once it arrives. Just a reminder that we aim to be back at school for the end of the school day but will update this app again once we are on our way and have a better idea of our arrival time.
The children are enjoying a little bit of a lie in this morning as our breakfast is later today. They went to sleep fantastically last night after a very busy day. They have loved their activities and particularly enjoyed yesterday's evening game of Cluedo.
Today they are looking forward to Giant Swing and Archery which everyone is doing this afternoon; this morning different groups are doing two from problem solving, trapeze and crate stacking. We are sure the campfire this evening will be a highlight of the trip.
Yesterday the children had a fantastic day and thoroughly enjoyed the activities. They are becoming experts at putting on harnesses and have enjoyed helping each other. Our evening ambush game was also a success although perhaps our hiding skills need a little polishing!
The food is being received very well and we are all looking forward to breakfast this morning. We will then be heading out for today's activities: orienteering, vertical challenge, trapeze, sensory trail, crate challenge.
The children are up bright and cheery and have had a hearty breakfast of bacon, beans, tomatoes, cereal and juice. We are looking forward to our activities today: fencing, climbing, abseiling and canoeing!
Monday Afternoon: We have arrived safely and had lunch. After some free time the children are now sorting their rooms.
Sunday: We hope the children are excited about their residential trip to PGL Liddington and are packed and ready for tomorrow. Children can arrive either at normal school time or between 10:15am and 10:30am, entering the school through the main entrance.
