Sports Day 2021

We awarded two trophies on Friday 9 July – one to the winners of the House Cup and the other to the winners of Sports Day.

The sports day champions were Ash, who pipped Elm to the top spot by just 40 points.  It was a shame we were unable to invite parents this year, but the children did brilliantly.  There were a wide range of events with high levels of participation and performance.  Our thanks to Miss Balchin and Mr Tillman for organising the day.

You can see photos and a video from the day here (NB. Password has been sent via ParentMail).

The House Cup is competed for throughout the year.  The children earn ‘house points’ through academic and sporting house matches and for demonstrating the school's values, good learning behaviours in lessons and home learning and acts of kindness.  The winners this year were Elm house, who beat second place Ash house by just 147 points.  The final scores were:  Elm (13,473), Ash (13,326), Beech (12,705) and Oak (12,555).  Well done to every child who earned a house point this year.

Finally, we would like to thank our brilliant Year 6 House Captains and Year 5 Vice-Captains for 2020-21.  They have worked hard throughout the year.  The vice-captains take on the captaincy in September and new vice-captains will be elected.
