All children in Key Stage 1 are eligible for a free school meal every day.
For Key Stage 2 pupils, payment needs to be made online via www.parentpay.com We no longer accept cash for school dinners. On the using the website for the first time you will require a parentpay username and password which can be provided by the school office if required. Children can no longer preorder their meals. It is now done in the classroom at morning registration.
Children are able to choose from a main meal, a vegetarian option or jacket potatoes. Salad and bread are available in addition. The current menu can be obtained by downloading the attachment below.
Free meals are also available to children whose parents /guardians are receiving Family Income Supplement. Should you need help or advice about this please see the School Secretary.
Healthy snacks (a piece of fresh fruit or vegetables) are allowed at breaktimes. Children may have a NAMED bottle of plain water to drink in class throughout the day.
If your child prefers a packed lunch please provide it in a strong, named lunch box. Sweets, chocolate, nuts and fizzy drinks are not allowed. Drinks should be in a carton or plastic container.
There is a new lunch ordering sheet (see attachment) to assist parents in planning meals for younger children should you wish. Copies are also available in the school office and in Year 1 and Reception classes. Hopefully this will enable you to ensure that your child is ordering a meal they will enjoy. As we aim to encourage children to be independent and take responsibility for their school life there is no expectation that children in KS2 will use this form.
