|Welcome to Year 1|
In Year 1 the teachers are Mrs Kane, Miss Wilkins, Mrs Miller and Mrs Grindley. Mrs Soane will be returning to Year 1 in March. Mrs Patel will also be teaching in 1AK and 1CW on certain days.
Supporting them are Mrs Brooks, Mrs Graham, Miss Drummond, Mrs Bradley and Mrs Portsmouth.
Please bring PE kits in on a Monday and take them home on a Friday.
The children have the opportunity to change their book daily—as long as their Reading Record is signed. We expect the children to read their reading books for 10-15 minutes each night and that you will find time to hear them read.
A weekly spelling list will be sent home on Mondays (to be tested on Fridays). These will include any new tricky words that they are expected to know in their phonic groups.
The children will receive differentiated mathematics home work every Tuesday with a focus on what they have been learning in class.
