This term we have already started practising expanded and compact written subtraction methods. These have helped us to embed our place value knowledge. We have also been using these written methods to solve, one-step, word problems.
There are other areas of the National Curriculum which we will be covering during this term. Some of the skills we will be practising include: application of mental multiplication and division strategies; recognising and working with non-unit and equivalent fractions; recognising and comparing different types of angles; understanding how to divide 2 and 3 digit numbers by one digit numbers, using place value and applying mental strategies.
We love Maths!
