Grandparents Story Time
On Wednesday 24th May we would like to invite grandparents in to share a story with a small group of children. This will provide the children with the opportunity to enjoy reading in a different light and to understand that it is an enjoyable experience that can be shared with others. You are welcome to use one of our stories or bring in a favourite book from home. If you are interested in this, please inform your child’s Key Worker to help give us an idea of how many can attend.
Nursery AM – 11:00 – 11:30am
Nursery PM – 2:40 – 3:10pm
Stay and Play and Parent’s Evening
Parent’s evening will be held on 4th and 5th July for all of those parents whose children will be going up to Reception in September. This will be a formal opportunity for you to meet with your child’s teacher and Key Worker and discuss their learning, their progress though out their time at Nursery and what is to be expected as their journey up to Reception. Information sooner to the time will go out explaining how to book your time slot for this.
We will be running a Stay and Play session on Wednesday 12th July for those children that will be staying at the Nursery in September. This is an opportunity to meet with your child’s Key Worker and discuss their progress. It is also a chance for your child to share their learning and what they enjoy doing in Nursery. All family members are invited to attend. However, we do ask that pushchairs are kept outside. The times are as follows:
Nursery AM – 10:30-11:30am
Nursery PM – 2:10-3:10pm.
Tapestry and Doodles the Dog
Thank you for your continuing engagement in Tapestry. We are enjoying reading your comments and seeing your uploaded photos as it really gives us a more rounded view of the children. This half term we are planning on starting an opportunity for the children to take our Nursery cuddly toy, Doodles the Dog, home. When it’s your child’s turn to take home Doodles, we would like you to take photographs of your time with him, recording what you have done together by uploading photos onto Tapestry and writing comments about what you did. There will be instructions and examples sent home with Doodles that will explain how to upload and save photographs onto Tapestry if you are unsure how to do this.
